love my seats and people around me are nice and rowdy. Ya man! the louder the better. And I'm with the dude who said he'd love to stand all game. Me too. If people if front of me stand, awesome, then I have a reason to stand. Just like if I stand and your behind me, stand up as well... chances are we're standing cuz something good is happening. What if you have a 70 year grandfather sitting behind you? Is it fair you stand in front of him and he has to stand ? I think that is where the original poster was getting at. I'm all for loud fans, standing ovations but I believe respect is important too. Not everyone can stand for longer periods of time. They have a right to enjoy the games as well.

Sting. Thanks for your understanding reply. You get where I'm coming from. Unfortunately many others view me as a whiner because I am respectful to others around me. I don't want to stand up or lean forward during the play as to disrupt the game for the folks behind me. But according to some of the geniuses of this message board that is acceptable. An aisle seat was the only option given to me when I was selecting my seat. People are easy to criticize when they themselves are satisfied with their seats.

Have to laugh at all the immaturity in this thread, OP excluded.

Perhaps TNSE could e-mail out a list of game etiquette to ST holders. No fan should ever leave their seat while the game is on. I am on an aisle but I am very lucky as their are only 14 seats in the row and 4 of them are ours. Thus, only 3 people ever need to get by.

Thanks hacky 666. My row has about 10-12 seats. Mine being the only aisle seat.

If beer and the constant need to acquire it and/or relieve yourself after it's consumption is so important to you, maybe YOU should stay home. Acting like a reasonable human being around your fellow fans is not only the right thing to do, but it is and should be expected. People pay good money to be able to watch the game.

Fact is op is way too consumed with being disrespected than watching the games. Your at a sporting event in Winnipeg and its the jets and everyone is boozing and pissing and having a good time, this is never going to change.

So, what you're saying is that when you attend a sporting event in Winnipeg, common courtesy can be thrown out the window because hell, "I'm at a 'sportin avent" ETA: Going to a sporting even doesn't give you carte blanche to be a total ignoramus.

I will be communicating my concerns with TNSE Monday. I will sell my season ticket (P6, single seat, 20 games) if things cannot be resolved. I will not attend games where half the end zone is blocked by people standing in front of me. Nor should I have to get up out of my seat 15-20 times per period (yes even during the play) because the alcoholics in my row can't stop boozing and pissing all night. I love the new Jets, I was there for the last ever game in 95, shed a few when they left, and rejoiced upon their return. I bought season tickets because I love watching the actual hockey game. All the socializing, boozing and schmoozing is not why I am there.

It's not Winnipeg and it's not just hockey, or football, or baseball, or basketball, or concerts. This is when attending any sporting or concert event period. Probably even happens at golf games. OP either has to learn to deal with, it's never going to change or stay home and watch it in his basement were it's nice, dark, quiet, and no one will bug him. Hope doesn't have any kids!

Maybe that's why there's so many jerks around while other people are trying to have fun and enjoy themselves? Your right to have fun does not trump the rights of others to enjoy themselves and also have fun, the sooner you understand that the better the experience will be for all.

Meh I agree and disagree
People will have to get up thats just the way it is, unless you stalk them and see what there doing you dont know whats going on, maybe there waiting on a really important call and want to go somewhere they can actually hear someone else to talk.
The whole standing up thing is annoying but honestly I would just collectively with other fans tell them to sit down. I was at the bomber game last night and there were these teenagers who wouldnt sit down and after a while a bunch of people told them point blank to sit down.

Your right to have fun does not trump the rights of others to enjoy themselves and also have fun, the sooner you understand that the better the experience will be for all. I don't need to understand anything. I'm not the one complaining. I don't care what happens in my section, it will not bother be. I've been in student section at the bomber games for 10 years. I have seen it all. Thing about this OP original problem and put it as a question; What can be done in the stands so NO ONE stands up? What can be done so one needs to use the washroom well the games on? What can be done so no one needs a beer, drink, or popcorn for your kids well the game is on? I guess TN will have to install seat belts and put seat belt signs in every section just like in a plane and you are not allowed to take them off until the seat belt is off. TN staff will come up and down every row before the puck will drop for the start of each period to insure everyone is using it. If you need to use the washroom or get something, to bad, that is what the intermission's are for. Then the complaint will come that there is 15,004 people in the concourse all at once and then the line ups are even longer then they already are. People stand, people get beer, people use the washroom. Live with it or like he says, get rid of the ticket and stay home! There is 8000 other people that would love to use it. Bottom line, the only solution to this problem is to stay home.
