Gobombersgo. You are exactly the type of person who was pissing off fans in my section. I don't think I have to learn how to deal with anything. From your attitude you are a selfish, arrogant, know it all. According to you its never going to change. Probably because of boozed up jerks like you will never let it. Deal with that fool.

Really? Maybe that's why there's so many jerks around while other people are trying to have fun and enjoy themselves? Your right to have fun does not trump the rights of others to enjoy themselves and also have fun, the sooner you understand that the better the experience will be for all. I don't need to understand anything. I'm not the one complaining. I don't care what happens in my section, it will not bother be. I've been in student section at the bomber games for 10 years. I have seen it all. Thing about this OP original problem and put it as a question; What can be done in the stands so NO ONE stands up? What can be done so one needs to use the washroom well the games on? What can be done so no one needs a beer, drink, or popcorn for your kids well the game is on? I guess TN will have to install seat belts and put seat belt signs in every section just like in a plane and you are not allowed to take them off until the seat belt is off. TN staff will come up and down every row before the puck will drop for the start of each period to insure everyone is using it. If you need to use the washroom or get something, to bad, that is what the intermission's are for. Then the complaint will come that there is 15,004 people in the concourse all at once and then the line ups are even longer then they already are. People stand, people get beer, people use the washroom. Live with it or like he says, get rid of the ticket and stay home! There is 8000 other people that would love to use it. Bottom line, the only solution to this problem is to stay home. Or, of course, people could be considerate of the people around them trying to watch the game. In other words, wait until the end of the play if you must leave your seat and try to limit the number of times you "must" make somebody else move. Try not to stand unless the situation warrants it. Realize that some people are there with the goal of watching the game, not going for a beer etc.

No, you're not complaining, you're alluding that an individual has the right to enjoy the game no matter what, even if it interferes with another persons right to enjoy the game. That's the problem, everyone wants to be able to enjoy the game day experience but when people start believing that they have an inherent right to act anyway they choose, irregardless of the fact that they may be impeding another spectators' right. Bottom line, everyone wants to have fun, but it shouldn't come at the expense of another.

"Inconsiderate Fans"
Was the original title of this thread. From what has transpired here today with all the dicussions, debate and BS, it has shown me that we do have many "inconsiderate fans" at the MTS Centre. Just by reading some of the posts/answers, its obvious which ones are indeed so.

I kind of agree with gobombers, I think its slightly unreasonable to expect TNSE to run an NHL team and micromanage each of the 15, 000 fans that are at the games. Like gobombers ive been in the students section and have seen it all, joints, fights, bongs, stuff being thrown, fights with the police etc. It may not be enjoyable but you do have to accept the fact that not everything will go your way when your with thousands of people watching the same game.

You're right, they shouldn't. As adults we should have learned a long time ago about things like; manners, respect and common decency.

I am glad to be sitting with the "suits" in the lower bowl. It sounds like mayhem upstairs. Good thing I have snagged some extra seats to some games upstairs so as that I can join in the fun!

Well, they do have a "good fan" policy and a phone number to call to report anybody being unduly disruptive. I do agree that this kind of thing is difficult to police, which is why I would rather see people taking personal responsibility and curtailing themselves from disrupting other people more than once or twice a game, at most.

Totally agree, although from what I've read here, that's a pipe dream. ETA: "Fuk everyone else, I'm 'havin fun!"

From your attitude you are a selfish, arrogant, know it all. According to you its never going to change. Probably because of boozed up jerks like you will never let it. Deal with that fool. Your right, you don't have to deal with anything. Just stay home. Know it all - I know that I expect people to stand up, I know I expect people to use the washroom, I know people need to get a drink, I know little Timmy is going to want popcorn and Dad is not going to want to wait in a line at the intermission so he will go get well the game is on. Being considerate is having a look around you, seeing if there is any small children and not using foul language. Expecting people not to get up especially when you choose an aisle seat is expecting to much. In a perfect world people will go at the intermission, but guess what. Yup you guessed it, it's not a perfect world. "According to me things are never going to change" - No according to the way world is whether or not your a soccer(football) game in Europe, or an NFL game in Dallas, or a Baseball game in New York, or a Jets game in Winnipeg. This is how it's. It has nothing to do with "me". People stand up and people use the washroom. The absolute only way to solve this guys problem is for him to sell his ticket and stay home.

Section S is about drinking and party first and the game second. When you get older I doubt you will feel the same way. I'm mentioned 70 year old Grandfather. I'm not near that age but when I'm 70 I do I have to drop the teams I support because I can't do what 20 years old can do? You don't have to go extremes and say you have to sit in your seat all game. But have a little give and take on both ends. Work together to enjoy the game.

It doesnt take to long to "train" people in your row... at any event I go to, I dont get up to let anyone get by during play. It only takes leaving someone stand there once after a polite "Sorry just wait until the play is over" for them to realise that getting up during play is a bad idea. It happens at the Bomber games all the time and by halftime the "newbies to proper etiquette" seem to understand.
