Many people were complaining that the Row 1 railing in the upperdeck (more specifically people leaning over it) was causing an obstructed view for the immediate 3-5 rows behind it.
Yesterday, I noticed bright yellow stickers installed every 3 feet on the rail that specifically says "DO NOT LEAN ON RAIL". This made the viewing experience much better for those in row 2 and up. However, there were still about 25% of the people leaning on the rail, so I guess the next step would be to have the ushers actually enforce this policy. Either way, great first step from True North in correcting the problem.
Another update (burried in the MTS Centre thread) by a member was that engineers did indeed meet last Friday at the MTS Centre and are looking at ways to replace the steel mesh rails with plexiglass. Another big win!
Lastly, that same user (I believe RL 201) updated that 15 new urinals will be installed on the 300 level, so that should help with long bathroom lines.
My personal experience last night was that beer lines and washroom lines were fast moving DURING THE GAME. I did not leave my seat during intermission, so I don't know who congested it got.
Again, it seems like True North has been very responsive to the needs of the fans. If you have concerns, here are their email addresses:

didn't have much of an issue with lines last night. Then again, I didn't use the washroom. Did manage to find a concession right by my section during the second intermission with nobody at it. That was kinda weird.

We had huge issues last night with sight lines. People sitting in chairs in the handicap section blocked our entire view of the goal. We never saw any of the four goals from are seats. It wasn't their fault either because they could not see around their bar and mesh and had to lean forward. Unless they are backed up we will not see the goal unless we stand up.

TIP: consider using the washrooms during TV time outs if it is not that hard to get out of your seats. If you are a season ticket holder, you will get a feel for when those breaks are each period.

I'm in the second row and could see everything fine. Although,I was asked to sit down a few times from the people in the rows behind me, it was my first NHL game in 15 years so yes I was very excited and found myself jumping out of my seat every time the puck crossed the blueline.

( I noticed you in the 3rd period but by then didn't have a chance to come over and say hi) Anyways, I looked over to see if you were there last game. I didn't see you, but I noticed that it seemed everyone was sitting further back - with their chair back against the wall instead of moved up to the edge of the rail. Not sure if they were told they had to move back or what, but from the glances I had over there, there was only one person who seemed to be in a wheelchair.

I wasn't at the game last night, but I'm going tomorrow. I certainly hope they are not going to be forcing us to sit back against the wall because then I will be completely unable to see anything at all.

Also just wanted to add that the seats you saw me sitting in at the first game are not our regular seats. Normally, we would be sitting in section 311, but we got moved for that game because, presumably, of construction.

You have every right to be excited man! Last night was our first game (half season) and we are in Section 330. Our seats are great, however the wire mesh does get in the way of the view of the goal sometimes. Plexiglass will solve this for sure! As for the bathrooms - The men's room lineup was alright during the intermissions. I left my seat as the buzzer went, walked about 30 seconds to the washroom, waited for about 2-3 minutes and I was in. You have to expect to stand in line, and although it may seem like a long lineup, it moves fast. I like the idea of using the TV time outs to use the washroom if you have to. With every game being broadcast, those will be more common than Moose games. Overall, my 300 level experience was good. My girlfriend even had time to go for a disgusting smoke between periods, and even surprised me with some food after the 2nd intermission. That's seems reasonable to me for a 300 level customer to be able to accomplish that given the crowd that seems to fill the concourse. Hopefully the glass is added, and the additional urinals are in place sometime this season. realistically I think we're talking next season for these upgrades, but if that's the case I think most people would be okay with that. I don't agree with the Handicapped seating being pushed to the back wall, if that is the case. I can't imagine how those customers would get in the way of someone's view. If these people are complaining because 100% of the view isn't available to them at all times, suck it up. Move your head and learn to deal with sightlines that may be obstructed from time to time. It happens in all NHL arenas, and there's no reason Winnipeg is any different.

I have to miss the game tomorrow but good luck then. Hopefully we'll be able to bump into eachother at a game some time. I doubt they would make people sit in a way that completely ruins their view, but it looked like everyone was sitting on 4-legged chairs pretty much back against the wall.

I would not put money on the idea that they wouldn't try to make people sit back, even though it ruins any ability to view the game. But if they try it tomorrow night, they will have a major fight on their hands. It is absolutely not the fault of people with disabilities that the design is as it is. But we have the right to be able to watch the game as we paid good money as well.

We are in the backrow of 319...actually love it because there is no one behind you that would get pissed at the standing....we stood for more than half the game....pretty much the whole row did....

I was curious about my seats and the sightline and was told that the railing obstructs a bit of the goal (which I saw when I went for seat assingment) but that the bigger problem were the people in the 1st few rows leaning forward and blocking the view of the near side of the ice. Hopefully changing to plexiglass means folks won't have to lean forward to look over the railing anymore. I'll find out for myself on Oct 9.
