even if winnipeg had sold out the building, so what? the Jets never saw any of it. WEC took all the money, made the Jets pay rent, no parking, no consession, NOTHING! There's no doubt that WEC weighed the mostly heavily on running the Jets out of town.

YES! Finally! I've been wanting to say this forever but figured I would get ripped.
I honestly think Craig would be happier just running the AHL team. He also always talks about moving two franchises and how important it is St John's does well. Which is true, but that's a way distant second to the Jets doing well.

I completely agree that Zinger seems to be a bit of a downer here. I too realize that without the Moose, we would not have NHL back, but the Moose are gone and the Jets are here. It's time to relish our return to the NHL, not dwell on the fond memories of the Moose. If Zinger loves them so much, perhaps he should have followed them to St John's. Just sayin...

Except that Heisinger knows how advantageous it is to have a strong AHL affiliate to develop talent for the NHL club. Is there any suggestion here that Heisinger favours strengthening the AHL side while weakening the NHL side? No, none at all. There isn't a zero-sum game here and having a strong AHL side isn't mutually exclusive to having a strong NHL side. Heisinger can be a pessimist all he wants, ultimately his job is to act as Cheveldayoff's assistant and manage player personnel for the IceCaps, and obviously he likes doing that.
