Straight forward.
I think the Jets receive compensation.

I sure hope you guys are right! It means a lot for this franchise if Kane and Pav both sign, and not just for the product on the ice.
The "it's Winnipeg, and no one wants to play there" garbage needs to go!

And Ladd got the ball rolling last summer with his 5 year commitment after meeting with management and touring the city. He didn't have to do that. I feel that angle is underplayed when discussing Ladd and his leadership - on and especially off the ice here.

If Kane re-signs for 4-5+ years, that will only make contract negotiations with Burni and Wheeler in the future that much easier, as they will see major pieces to the team are locked up long term.

Kane does not have a lot of options at present, he will be signed.

I cant imagine a scenario where the Jets wouldnt match an offer, unless it was a ridiculous offer and I cant see a team doing that.

The poll really should have a 3rd option, becasue they can sign him in the middle of the summer if they want. Bogo wasnt signed until right before training camp last year.

I feel that angle is underplayed when discussing Ladd and his leadership - on and especially off the ice here. Excellent point about Ladd. His leadership in scouting out the city last summer showed his commitment to the team and showed something to the rest of the players. Now he's building a mansion just west of the city in Assiniboine Landing, boosting the local economy. The other big moment for me with Ladd was when he came back after getting his face all busted up by that puck early in the season and got into a fight of all things. I forget who he was fighting but that guy must have thought Ladd was crazy. I think he really showed courage and leadership by instigating that fight when the Jets needed it. That might have triggered a comeback win, I know it's OT but does anyone remember that game and what the outcome was?
