$54,200,000 (cap floor) -$42,367,959 (current payroll for 12/13) _________ =$11,832,041 -$4,700,000 (Kane) __________
=$7,132,041
Then we still got...
Fehr, Eric (rfa) Machacek, Spencer (rfa) Glass, Tanner (ufa) Wellwood, Kyle (ufa Stapleton, Tim (ufa)
Jones, Randy (ufa) Flood, Mark (ufa)
Mason, Chris (ufa) Gustavsson, Jonas (ufa)

We could always pull an islanders who had 3 goalies on their active roster for parts of this past season. Doubt that either Gus or Mason would want to be a third wheel. Also, please, tell me how well that worked for the Flyers?

Crazy. Here's the #s; stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/WPG?tw_p=twt&year=2013

Its a tough choice. I really like what mason has contributed in his time here, but I'm prefer Monster. He has more upside and that could turn into a valuable asset for the Jets one day, If Pavelec were to go down with an injury, i'd rather have Monster holding down the fort, Mason seemed to falter during his starts at the end of the year.

I guess our time with the Monster has come to an end. Gus doesn't feel that Winnipeg is a "fit" for him so he's going to market. goo.gl/cywaW

And he signs with Detroit, so the poll is a moot point. Time to lock up Mason.

If, for some reason, Mason doesn't sign, I say we go hard after Hedberg. Great back-up, loves the city and the city loves him.
