I'm happy to see the Moose back, at least temporarily. I still think they had one of the best logos in minor hockey. A lot of the players we have in the A are of NHL calibre. Petan and Ehlers will likely be there next year, as well as Comrie. Ehlers can't go to the AHL next year, he has junior eligbility left plus he'll likely make the Jets next year.

A lot of savings are involved in having the farm team here. No flights back and forth for call ups and scouts. Temporary housing for call ups etc. A lot of families out there that went to Moose games that can neither afford or get access to Jets tickets. True North must sbe getting sick of the delays in Thunder Bay and I'd think a plan B will come up if they can't get the arena/convention centre off the ground this year.

Hamilton won't be vacant long, might want to consider that option

I kind of thought it might be asking too much of Winnipeg to support two pro teams. Bringing the Moose back makes me a little uncomfortable.
How is corporate sponsorship going to work? Will the Moose be a throw in for Jets sponsors? Or will they have to take a Moose/Jets package at a higher rate? Would there be an option only to sponsor the Moose at lower rates? If so would that bleed off dollars from the Jets? Will some families opt out of sharing Jets season tickets and turn to purchasing Moose tickets instead (Especially with the term commitment involved in being a Jets season ticket holder), thus again bleeding support away from the Jets?
With corporate support at a premium and fan dollars stretched to the maximum I really don't see how asking for more sports dollars can be a smart move.
I also find TNSE's obsession with the Manitoba Moose brand to be a bit disturbing.

^ I totally support the idea of the Thunder Bay Moose. Let's them keep their brand while also promoting the Jets. Fans can watch both teams without them competing in the same market.

I also find TNSE's obsession with the Manitoba Moose brand to be a bit disturbing. The team is only going to be here for one year. Anything other than re-using the Manitoba Moose identity/logo/jerseys would be a waste of time and money.

^ Except Manitoba Swamp Donkeys. Everyone would be happy with that.

^ I want everything about that team. We should start a petition if the AHL goes back to Winnipeg it worked in the past

When the AHL was here, you did see a lot more families with young kids at the games and a lot if not most of those families are still out there.

I can't see it working in Thunder Bay. There is no arena yet, and from what I hear, there is no guarantee an arena will even be built. Maybe try Fargo-Moorhead?

The Manitoba Moose return....I think Blackthorn just had a stroke... What ever happened to Blackthorne? He came here as "slippy" and had a hot dog avatar, but abruptly left in late 2012.

Would Saskatoon be a good fit for the "Moose"?

Would Saskatoon be a good fit for the "Moose"? OOPS didn't see the first Saskatoon reference.
