It's a good move for the Jets & True North as well as those of you local but I'm bummed. I loved the Ice Caps name, logo and affiliation with the Jets.
Also what sucks for me is that the Winnipeg _______ will most likely be in the AHL West and if it were not for the Barons leaving town I would have been able a couple of times a year literally drive down the street and see the Jets prospects live in action

It will most likely be the Moose - but I would suggest a new logo to go with Jets colors. 1290 said they heard it wouldn't be the moose name. Be interesting at any rate. Is it the "Polar Bears" which Chipman wanted to use when the NHL returned?

If it's not the Moose, it should be the Falcons. Two points of history - first being the Winnipeg Falcons, second being the Springfield Falcons, our last AHL team from the original era. Doubt the AHL will approve of another team in the league named Falcons. They have two admirals teams only because one came from the IHL.

Most farm teams fly the big teams colours, I think you could make The "Polar Bear" work with the colour scheme, but the "Hershey Bears" might be a problem, a Moose I can't see working with those colours and If T.Bay is the final destination they might have some input also.

I can't see Hershey having a problem with "Bears" as there are two teams named the "Admirals" in the AHL.

We can't change the logo at center ice for the games or the advertising throughout the arena. They will 100% user our colors. I'd expect something to do with the air force and I won't be shock when the use the same or very similar logo.

isn't the plane in the Jets logo a F-18 Hornet? Winnipeg Hornets or Manitoba Hornets with a Air Force theme logo as well.
