So, when Bettman shows up to the Jets home opener, will he be booed by a bunch of unappreciative hooligans, or will he be applauded for enabling the instant turnover of the Thrashers into your hands as soon as it was apparent that the Coyotes were staying put another season?
Boo him because it's in your blood?
Cheer him for having hockey in Winnipeg?

Normally, yes. But Chipman asked us nicely not to boo him, so I'll refrain for one night.

Our crew is thinking of turning our backs to him in spite. He's not worthy of me wasting my vocal chord strength. I'll be using that to cheer on our team and jeer Carey.

No reason to Boo. In his own way he apologized by saying it was time to right a wrong. I want him to see how good Winnipeg is, how great we are as fans.

When I was younger, I booed him, even when watching him on TV. Since then I've matured and realised the Jets leaving didn't have a whole lot to do with Bettman. Nobody locally stepped up to buy the team from Shenkarow and he was forced to sell to outside owners. The people of Winnipeg didn't do much to support the team either. Bettman locking the players out was the best thing for this game and for our cause and for that, I'll always look at him in a different light because had he not stood his ground during the lockout we wouldn't be able to afford the NHL.

Tough call. I would say not on this night. Any other time I'd let him have it.

In a word, no. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand him, but he does run tbe show, and just think how good he will feel if he not only is not on the receiving end of a chorus of boos, but in fact gets a standin O. Perhaps he will be so happy that we get, hmmm an All Star game. Just sayin'

He'll be booed. And when you hear 15000 other people booing... you will too. it'll just feel right at the time.

No.
Absolutely not.
As much as we might think he was partly responsible for the team leaving in the first place, he was obviously in part responsible for a team to come back.
So, let's try and listen to what Chipman says and refrain from booing.

What do you expect Chipman to say? "Go head, boo him until you can't talk anymore."?
