Given Cheveldayoff's history, I think he will pick a malleable head coach who will do whatever he is told. I can see Chevy being on the hot seat this upcoming regular season. Cheers, 2b9πππ So long as there are butts in the seats and money rolling in, I doubt that.

Breaking News: Winnipeg is interviewing Craig Berube for the vacant head coach spot. He also just finished interviewing with the Maple Leafs.

I don't mind Berube. He won a Cup so there is that, but he has also had a ton of 1st round exits . That being said I think he'd be a good coach. I also think Scott Arniel deserves a shot.

It doesn't matter who the coach is. There needs to be personnel changes to make this team meaner and much more physical otherwise the results will be the same or worse.

I think turning the page on Maurice, Bowness was a great interim step to getting this team turned to a more positive direction.
Again with Arniel, nice pick for coach but I think Jets fans are really starving for more significant changes to everything associated with this team. The players, the coach, maybe even the GM. I say the game day experience needs some help too - whatever that means to whatever fans are still going to the games or undecided about going back. To their credit, at least it seems like TN is somewhat recognizing these things and taking some steps.
Anyway, I'm kind of conflicted on Arniel because I like the guy being part of the Jets, I know he wants the job and probably deserves a chance. Deep down, I'd really like to see an established no BS guy with some record of proven results at some time in his NHL career...who's not afraid to challenge the players. Kind of like Bowness really, but with more energy to give. I don't know, can Arniel be that guy? I think we'll find out.
