It's been discussed on other threads, (most notably the Heisinger thread,) that many in the Jets' organization, mostly former Moose employees, have a distinctly negative attitude about the Jets and being at the NHL level now. Heisinger has been very openly negative about the Jets' name, the fans, (blaming us on the team moving,) and to a degree, his job. (Even though chipman PROMOTED him yet again in spite of the fact that he has no credentials other than knowing the players' jock sizes.)
Is this type of negativity trickling down to the players? The initial enthusiasm seems to be lacking right now.

No. The negativity coming out of your mouth is a problem.

I don't think that the players are being negative, at least i don't get that impression. I think the players are looking forward to improving and becoming a contender. This will be a very good team in just a few years.
However, Heisigner's negative attitude is nothing short of disgusting as far as i am concerned. How can you accept a position such as his, if he feels so negative about the Jets. If thats his attitude i for one would go to the airport to see him off to St.John's with his beloved AHL team. I hope he changes his tune soon, as i agree with you that he could very well affect other staff members attitudes. Negativity breeds negativity.

I see Heisinger as sort of the Eeyore of the organization. He needs to learn to keep it down a bit when he's being quoted, but I don't necessarily think it's bad to have a guy like that in an organization. The Eeyores of the world have a place.
Beyond that, most of the reports of negativity I've heard have come from mysterious forum posters, some of them reporting some fuzzy, unnamed and completely unverifiable "sources." No doubt they have the challenges and growing pains of any new organization, and some positions have to be hashed out, but I don't worry that there's any harmful negativity within the Jets as a team.

Heisinger comes off like Mike Smith, (same lack of resume, same politics, same arrogance,) as though being Chipman's right hand man on an NHL team is beneath him. That's never good for a young organization where positive thinking at the organizational level is vital. Hopefully this doesn't spill over to the players.

Wasn't Heisinger offered the GM but turned it down?

Wasn't Heisinger offered the GM but turned it down? You can make the same argument that happened when Bobby Clarke "resigned" as Flyer GM a few years ago and was still moved further up the ladder. He wanted to still run the team but not be held accountable like the GM always is.

Well i can't stand the penalty killing what so ever, couple of guys can't kill penalty like Tobias Enstrom, and Zach Bogosian, who can really kill penalty is Johnny Oduya!

What negativity??
Seriously, I have watched the interview with Zinger many times.
I don't see him as being negative at all.
Perhaps OP should read Randy Turners book

Wow bigchris, what are you trying to start here?
I'm personally offended actually that you try to take Craigs passion for the AHL Moose and try and spin it into some hate for the New Jets.
In fact, as much as I love the new Jets, don't kid yourself for a second there are many others that are fans of the Jets that also miss the Moose, the Moose exceeded the the level of expecation as an organziation for the league they were in.
I only wish that TN had kept them here as our local farm club for 2 reasons.
1) So that we could keep a very watchful eye on our players and development and
2) It would have offered a continued affordable option to those that still CAN'T afford to watch NHL hockey even though its back here in Winnipeg.
Craig Heisinger is a very humble man and I can't blame him one bit for missing something that he poured his heart out into, if you enjoy your Jets you should be thanking him for taking something seriously when it took most of Winnipeg years to even warm too.
