Ottawa might be interested in DuBois as well, but apart from draft picks, their trade cupboard is pretty bare.

Saw Friedman's tweet about the Jets apparently stating they didn't want a rebuild they wanted players to help the team right away.
Given the fact several of the players including Helle stated same it's no wonder Jets would state that. Mediocrity which plays as non rebuild is still mediocrity. So send out the signal to the potential trades to not worry because Jets will be competitive and not rebuilding. Oh the tangled web the Jets weave.

Mcrimmond as general manager is what we needed all along and it would of been totally different outcome? What fire sale will Chevy be attempting is beyond interesting?

And totally ( I didn't think I'd ever write that!) piss off their fan base. They, the fans, are ready for a transition to a team that wants to play with effort and passion not repeat the last 4 years.

Nothing so far coming out of the Jets organization has given any indication that the next season will be better than the last few. Cheveldayoff and Chipman seem to be saying that all that is needed is a bit of fine tuning.

Mcrimmond as general manager is what we needed all along and it would of been totally different outcome? What fire sale will Chevy be attempting is beyond interesting? It starts with the owner. The Vegas owner from the outset said they would win a Cup in 6 years. It is much different to say who want to win a Cup versus want to be “in the mix”. McPhee and Mcrimmon have made bold moves because the owner wants it

Chevy out of touch with reality when it comes to winning and managing?

Incredibly shocking in the entertainment capital of the world where players pay next to nothing in tax and are lined up to play there. A monkey and 3 blind mice could build a cup contender there.

It looks like PLD has thrown his hat into the ring to be first to be traded out of Winnipeg.
In the least shocking blurb of the year so far,
Pierre LeBrun: A year ago, Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois, through his agent Pat Brisson, informed the Jets that he didn’t intend to sign long term. He’s not eligible to become an unrestricted free agent until next summer in 2024, but our understanding is that Brisson informed the Jets that his client isn’t inclined to sign an extension this summer, not even a one-year bridge.
Brisson would like to work with the Jets on a trade for Dubois to another team. That’s where that’s at right now and the Jets can still decide to keep him for another year, try to bring him to arbitration, or trade him at the trade deadline.
Bottom line is, this looks like it’s headed to a trade, potentially this summer.

The " working with the Jets on a trade" part could be beneficial if that means agreeing to the framework of an extension with the acquiring team, which should bring more back to Winnipeg in return than just a one year rental. There certainly has been a lot of articles about Hellebuyck being traded/available in the offseason...wonder if this is more writers trying to fill space or a sign that Helly has indicated that he isn't willing to sign an extension at this point.

So PLD wants out< Schefle can't stand being in wpg what kind of team does Wpg have left? Stupid coaching plays Ehlers at only 16:00 minutes a game? The organization as a whole has to be smoking something really good? Chevy says we don't have to win anything to be successful? Go figure?

Count me in. Please show me the source of Chevy's comments. Or of Scheifele's for that matter. The latter maybe true but I wouldn't think he would say that on the record.

I believe it's a reference to Chevy implying that the Jets were happy just making the playoffs this season at his year end press conference, but could be wrong.
