I take it that's a photoshop but frankly I would find it hilarious if it were used in some small town where whites are the minority. Kinda rolls of the tongue though doesn't it? Cleveland Caucasians. I like it!

Walks are part of the game. Walks lead to more baserunners which equals more pressure to throw more strikes which equals homeruns/more runs. exactly, I have no idea what this guy is even talking about or if he has ever seen a baseball game in his life Hard to believe anyone thinks money ball/walks are wrong. LOL. Basically his argument is the entire baseball industry is wrong and he is right. The Red Sox 3 world series must have been a fluke. Billy Beane has done a terrible job. Oakland's many playoff appearances with a low payroll in a crap filled stadium must be a figment of our imagination. Oakland should immediately fire Billy Beane and hire ex-cubs GM Jim Hendry since he didn't know what sabermetrics were and loved hackers like Neifi Perez/Alfonso Soriano who didn't walk. With all those many playoff appearances the Cubs had and all those World Series victories this would be a brilliant idea. Brad Pitt was mistaken to make money ball. Instead he should have made Jimmy ball and explained how brilliant it was to sign Alfonso Soriano and bat out machine Neifi Perez at leadoff for what seemed like forever.

Btw I am for a pitch clock. Not sure what I think about the reviews. Most don't appear cut and dry as you would think they should and they make the game slower. I think it should be a flag or something that a manager throws to challenge. Don't like how the manager walks out talks to ump and looks in the dug out to see if they should challenge it. I think in time they will perfect replay. I've heard lot of people say replay makes the game faster because it cuts down on arguments. Haven't watched enough baseball games the last few years to have an opinion. The flag is a great idea.

You are one clueless individual. The walks have increased not because of this shrinking of the strike zone non sense that you have been yelling from the rooftops but by hitters mentality changing. More and more hitters are seeing the value in walking. Before hitters would see a walk as not a success but now it's viewed as one. You can blame Beane all you want but someone else would have noticed it too. Also, the plate size hasn't changed and if touches it, it's a strike. As for baseball being slow, I could see a Boston fan saying that. Boston has a bad reputation for slowing the game down. But that is from the time inbetween pitches and not because all the walks that are happening. They could speed that process up. YOu dont get it do you? The umps are influenced by hitters. These fat old dirt bags love to be involved in the game (time to replace them i say). Im not the oly one who has said the strike zoe has shrunk and Walks have contributed to this Walks= more pitches taken more pitches taken = more defensive hitting defensive hitting= longer at bats and a defensive mentality Defensive mentality= less offense less offense= long boring games. and yes as a boston fan im saying this as a fan of a team that has won 3 world series playing slow dragged out baseball because of the way they approach the plate im pretty freaking qualified to say that walks and defensive hitting= slow games that last closer to 4 hours not 3 baseball games should be just under 90 mins. The game is well beyond that now. And yes the strike zone has shrunk. Umps are picky. As mike has said they sit behind that plate with their big fat asses waiting to argue with a player so they are picky about strikes thats the most often they get themselves arguing on tv. Im not saying expand the strike zone. Im saying move it back to what it was. Bring back the chest strike, the knee strike, and any part of the plate. Right now they shrunk they brought down the chest strike, brought up the knee strike and are picky on the corners. Just call it right. NO NO NO!!!!! Your argument is basically the every management that the Chicago Cubs had was right(pre Theo/Hoyer) and Billy Beane and friends don't understand. LOL Think of what you are saying. Walks are free bases. That's why they are so important. When you swing at a pitch there are 9 guys on the field who can get you out. Research the league balls put in play average. When you put the ball in play it's likely an out. The other things with walks is the pitcher wears down/has to throw more pitches. This means more pitches more chance to make bad pitches/get more tired and hang a breaking ball. Other thing is even if the starter goes well and you make him throw a bunch of pitches you can get him out of the game earlier(pitch count) and get into middle relief. There's a good chance you get to face a lesser pitcher. The defensive at bats goes against sabermetrics. The idea of sabermetrics is to work the pitcher, try to walk/get a good pitch to hit, swing as hard as you can for all 3 strikes and don't be afraid to strike out. An outs an out is a big principle. None of those A's teams for example were afraid to go for the downs with 2 strikes. When we had those huge offensive explosions during the steroids era strikeouts were also at an all time high. Lot of the old timers I remember at the time complained about this and the current players response was it's about overall production/run scoring not avoiding strikeouts. Right now the average baseball game is 3hrs 4mins. You can't get the game to 1.5hrs unless you do away with commercials and that's not happening. A good goal is 2hrs 20 min to 2hrs 30min.

i did my math wrong on th 90 minuets you are right about 2 hours
I fundamentally disagree with you on moneyball and the boring games it creates. Grinding long at bats ending in walks. And teams have adjusted they dont keep their starters in to get pounded and when the starter gets pounded the game is getting towards the 2 hr mark and every kid has stopped watching because it is boring.
There is no reason for the games to be as long as they are. Get these guys to swing...and bring back the high strike

Your making 2 different argument. Agree with one, you are WAYYYY off on the other. Yes call the strike zone by the rule book and use the computer. Guys are still going to draw/shoot for walks because they know they are going to be judged by advanced stats not the old batting average/HR/RBI. Money ball is not boring. Money ball leads to baserunners/runs/homeruns. If teams take starter out middle relief is weak on a lot of clubs which=more offense.
It's not money ball that is making things boring. It's the lack of pitch clock that makes it boring. That's what the sport needs. NOT to play like the Chicago freaking CUBS pre-Theo!!!!!!! You force the batter to be in the box/end the glove adjusting nonsense and give the pitcher 15 seconds to throw I guarantee you money ball isn't boring.

I don't watch enough baseball I guess... so Chief Wahoo is the Cleveland Indians logo? I honestly don't see what is wrong with it. If I was part of a white minority living in let's say Brazil, and my town had a soccer team with a caricature of a white dude and called it themselves Crazy Caucasians or something I would just think it was neat and would support the team. I simply don't get how it's desrespectful when it's not negative? Sports teams are something you ROOT FOR and connect with. I honestly just don't get the negativity have you ever heard of a sambo? the racist black face images? Racist cartoons? chief Wahoo is disgusting. And no im not going to post 1920s racist cartoons to proove my point. use google and google the word Sambo, racist cartoons and you will see why. A red faced savage image has no place in todays society dont we just love white guilt.
