If so, it would be nice if Ehlers could do something in the playoffs, so far nothing. You would think if part of the team at the money being paid to him, he would be a big time contributor come playoffs, so far nothing. If you are a part of the teams long term plans and being paid as such as a top contributor as a forward during the regular season, you would do as much and such during the playoffs, so far nothing. BTW, I like Ehlers, just concerned about his ability to stay healthy and be a contributor during the playoffs, he seems to disappear during the playoffs. Just my opinion and thoughts👍. Cheers, 2b9😉😃👍 Totally agree 2b9. Notwithstanding his lack of playoff performance, I'm a big Ehlers fan but seldom a fan of the line he's on - not since Laine and Stastny left. Hopefully if Chevy finds a way to re-up Nik, they can find that elusive center who can play with him. Maybe I'm crazy, I know people will poo-poo that he's too young and not spent enough time grinding the 4th line but I'm thinking Lambert could be that guy if they give him a chance there. I get everything that you are saying👍. And, I agree with you on Lambert with Ehlers, give him a long term shot with Ehlers, give Lambert a full season with Ehlers, let Lambert grow with Ehlers, there will be mistakes/so what, every player makes mistakes. It’s time for the Jets to inject our youth/top prospects into the team/lineup, don’t wait until it’s too late/they want to leave because the team won’t make room for them, the time is now. Let’s get Lambert, V. H., Chibby in there, maybe even possibly Salomonsson or Lundmark in there as well. Sure, there will be some pain/no big deal, every team has gone through pain at points in the past. Cheers, 2b9😉😃👍

I think Monahan would have been a mistake he looks like he's on the downward spiral and terms too long for most of these guys out there. Although I'm still not sold on Ehlers I'd rather keep him than give him away. It would have to be a nice return and ideally a top RHD.

And yes, term is too long for Mona, couldn’t see him here for 5 years with our youth coming up. Hear everything thing you say on Ehlers, hence Ric’s and my suggestion on Lambert with Ehlers, and like you said, if we were to trade Ehlers, hopefully it’s for a big RHD or for a forward of same position and quality. Cheers, 2b9😉😃👍
